Three Peaks Challenge

The Parmiter's School community really took fundraising to the top over a summer weekend when over seventy staff, students, parents and friends scaled the three highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales (Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon) to complete the Three Peaks Challenge.

Teams raised over £13,000, seventy five per cent of which will be used to provide outside sports and play equipment for the pupils at the school.  The other twenty five per cent has been donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust, as the school wishes to support other young people.

Hailey Amani from the Teenage Cancer trust joined the team's celebration evening and was presented with a cheque for over £3,000.  Hailey said:

“Thank you so much to everyone who took part in the Parmiter's Three Peaks Challenge – from the staff, parents, students and even the dogs – we’re ever so grateful to be part of the fantastic fundraising once again. Parmiter's is a very special school and everyone has gone above and beyond to support the 7 young people diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK.”
