Admission to Parmiter's School
Secondary Transfer to Year 7 in September 2015
The Open Day will take place on Wednesday 1 October 2014 from 4pm to 8.30pm. The school will also be open for visits during late September/October. Further details will be advertised nearer the time and places will be available to book via the School Office. Please note that we are not able to arrange tours of the school at any other time during the school year.
Children who are currently in Year 5 will be able to apply for a secondary school place from September 2014. Parents who think that they may apply to Parmiter's School under the Academic and/or the Music criterion will need to register for the SW Herts consortium tests via the SW Herts Consortium website: www.swhertsschools.org.uk. The online registration will open on Monday 12 May 2014 and will close on Friday 27 June 2014. The tests will take place in September as follows:
Saturday 13 September 2014 Academic Test
Tuesday 16 September 2014 Music Test (1st stage - written)
Week commencing Monday 29 September 2014 2nd stage Practical Music Assessment
Monday 20 October 2014 Test scores notified to parents
Friday 31 October 2014 Secondary Transfer 2015 deadline.
Please note that the test registration is not an application for a school place. Parents should complete their Local Authority and school application once the secondary transfer process commences in September 2014.
The results of the tests will be notified to parents in October before the Secondary Transfer deadline of 31 October 2014.
