NB: The number of intended admissions for September 2016 will be 208. This change is to simplify the "rounding" of criteria and has been agreed with the Local Authority. Places that are allocated as a percentage of the intake will be as follows:
|Criterion 2: Proximity (10%)||20 places|
|Criterion 5: Academic Assessment (25%)||52 places|
|Criterion 6: Music (10%)||20 places|
Parents of children currently in Year 5, who wish to apply for a place in Year 7 for Secondary Transfer 2016 under Academic or Music, must have taken an entrance test. Registration for the tests closed on Friday 19 June. Further information can be obtained from the SW Herts Consortium website: www.swhertsschools.org.uk.
Please note that we are not able to advise on whether an entrance test score will gain a place for Secondary Transfer 2016. Statistical information regarding previous years' cut-off scores can be viewed here .
Academic Test Only
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO NOTE: Following an analysis of the results from all seven Consortium schools, the average score, after the change to the new Verbal Reasoning Test, is now roughly 25 marks lower. Therefore, in order to compare your child's score for entry in September 2016 with previous years, it is necessary to add 25 to the total academic score.
