School Colours

At Parmiter's, School Colours are awarded to students for excellence, participation in and dedication to extra-curricular activities.

The Colours committee meet once per term to discuss nominations and those students that are judged by the committee to merit School Colours are awarded them in the Full School Assembly.

Below are the criteria that students must meet in order to be awarded School Colours.

FULL SCHOOL COLOURS

In order to achieve Full School Colours at Parmiter's a student must have met the following criteria:

Demonstrated excellence in at least one extra-curricular activity, which will normally be sport or performing arts.

In some way enhanced the standing of Parmiter's School.

Demonstrated a willingness to serve the best interests of the school when required to do so.

Full School Colours will be awarded at a Full School Assembly to students in Year 13.

 

SENIOR SCHOOL COLOURS

To achieve Senior School Colours a student must have:

Shown excellence in an acceptable extra-curricular activity.

Shown continued participation in a club over a sustained period of time.

Shown a high level of personal performance in Sport, Music, Drama or another acceptable activity.

Commitment must have been shown in two or more extra-curricular activities.

(Less in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the Committee).

Senior School Colours will be awarded at a Full School Assembly to students in Year 13.

 

ACTIVITY COLOURS

School Activity Colours should be awarded to a student who has shown exceptional commitment to the school by:

Regular participation at a club or clubs over a sustained period of time.

Represented the school at a chosen activity.

Shown commitment, responsibility and reliability over a sustained period of time.

Shown excellence in a chosen activity.

To achieve Half Activity Colours, a student must have shown involvement in one or two extra-curricular activities.

To achieve Full Activity Colours a student must have shown involvement in a minimum of 3 extra-curricular activities.

(Less in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the Committee).

Activity Colours will be awarded at a Full School Assembly to students in Year 10.
