Celebrating Music at Parmiter's
It has been a busy time for our Parmiter's young musicians since the Easter break. We enjoyed some sparkling music from our larger groups during the Summer 'Leavers' Concert and took the opportunity to celebrate our departing Year 13s and their wonderful contributions to Parmiter's Music during their time in school. Then, two days later, Big Band, the Brass Ensemble and two fantastic Year 10 GCSE pianists wowed the local community at a morning concert in St Lawrence Church.
The following week, Big Band had the privilege of taking part in the Watford Jazz Junction Gala evening at Watford Palace Theatre, as support band for the main act, Emma Smith, an award-winning British jazz vocalist. Big Band rose to the occasion and performed a perfectly suited repertoire of swing music with flair and a skill level that wholly befitted the evening.
Congratulations to all our musicians for their fabulous contributions to school life this year and Parmiter's Music wishes all those sitting public examinations the very best of luck!
