Year 9 Visit to World War One Battlefields 2025
90 of our Year 9 students took part in a History visit to the battlefields of Northern France and Belgium from Wednesday 2 to Friday 4 July 2025. The students visited many sites of remembrance, such as Tyne Cot Cemetery, Thiepval and Langemark, as well as museums like the Wellington Quarry and In Flanders Field Museum in Ypres impressive Cloth Hall. They attended the Menin Gate Remembrance service on Thursday evening and laid a wreath on behalf of the school, remembering those Parmiterians who lost their lives during WW1. The students all received a namesake to find at some point over the course of the three days, allowing them a moment of quiet reflection and remembrance.
