A Level Geography Trip to Iceland 2022
Our A Level Geography students went on a residential trip to Iceland during the October 2022 half term. This was an enjoyable experience for the students and greatly benefited their knowledge and understanding of several of the core themes on the examination syllabus. It is a real highlight of the A Level Geography course for many students.
Students visited a range of geographically significant places during the trip, including Þingvellir National Park, Dyrhólaey Coast, the Eyjafjallajökull Monitoring Station and geo-thermal power plant. They also had the opportunity to visit a newly erupting volcano and walk on a glacier.
