Current vacancies

Teacher of Spanish and/or French

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic languages teacher to join our successful MFL Faculty. You will be a passionate advocate for language learning and have the enthusiasm and skills to engage students across the age and ability range. The ideal candidate will be able to teach Spanish and French, although we are able to accommodate a candidate offering only one of these languages.

Modern Foreign Languages are a key component of our curriculum. At Key Stage 3 students learn two languages, with all students continuing with at least one language to GCSE.  MFL is a popular A Level choice with 5 A Level language classes this academic year.

We welcome applications from experienced and Early Career Teachers (ECTs). The role is offered as full-time but applications from those interested in a part-time position will be considered.  The role is offered as a one-year fixed term contract.

Performing Arts Technician 

The Performing Arts are a vibrant integral part of life at Parmiter’s and this new role is a unique opportunity to join our creative departments to provide practical and technical support for Music and Drama productions and other performance based activities across the school. 

Based in the Music department, you will assist teaching staff in delivering a high quality and engaging curriculum, including extracurricular opportunities, for students across the key stages. Additionally the role will support high quality whole school performances and events, such as school concerts and drama productions.  Inevitably there will be planned evening and weekend events and the ability to offer a flexible working pattern is desirable.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Music including experience of a variety of musical instruments and relevant practical experience of recording studios, lighting rigs and PA systems.

PE Apprentice 

This is an excellent opportunity provided through the Sporting Futures programme. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support leading to a nationally recognised qualification. The work experience is particularly suited towards a career within a school or sports organisation. The apprenticeship will start in August/September 2023 for 13 months and is ideal for candidates taking a year out before starting university or for graduates wishing to train as PE Teachers.
