KS5 Mathematics Lead

An exciting opportunity for an ambitious, dynamic and skilled teacher to join our Mathematics leadership team. With 10 Mathematics groups and 4 Further Mathematics groups, we are the largest A Level subject across the Sixth Form. Our results are exceptional and we have a well-qualified team of teachers teaching our A Level curriculum. 

As KS5 Mathematics Lead, you will have a key role in the delivery of the A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics curriculum, as well as co-ordinating the provision for University Entrance Tests and STEP papers. Design & Technology Technician

An exciting opportunity to join our technician team and provide valuable support to the teachers and students in our Design & Technology department.  You will be an integral part of the Design & Technology team, enabling the department to deliver a practical based curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a background in, and keen interest in, working with a range of materials and experience of using hand, power and machine tools.  Experience of working in a workshop environment would be advantageous but not essential. Teaching Assistant 

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work in the SEN department across the key stages. We are looking for someone who demonstrates a calm and steady manner and enjoys working with/caring for young people of secondary school age. You will need good numeracy and literacy skills and be competent in the use of ICT. 

We support students with a wide range of special educational needs and disability including visual and hearing impairment, autism, specific and general learning difficulties. The advert for the role is available here and the job description is available here

This post would be suitable for someone interested in gaining experience in a school environment with a view to training as a teacher in the future.

Cleaner

A reliable and capable individual is required to join our in-house cleaning team. We are looking for a committed and flexible person who will take pride in maintaining the school buildings and site to the highest possible standards.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 3.20pm to 6.20pm, during term time. An extra 4 weeks will be worked in school holiday time, to be distributed according to the team leader’s requirements. 

Candidates must be physically fit as some physical effort will be required. Experience of cleaning in a non-domestic environment would be beneficial, however relevant training will be provided. The advert for the role is available here.

School Direct (salaried & unsalaried) Teacher Training Programme

The Herts and Bucks Teaching School Alliance are inviting applications for the School Direct teacher training programme starting in September 2020. Please apply through UCAS, (placements are listed under Parmiter's School). Further information available here

Salaried and unsalaried placements will be available at Parmiter's School as well as other secondary and primary schools in the alliance. 

Places are offered in a range of subjects including -

Art & Design, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science, Design and Technology, Drama,English, Economics, Geography, History, Mathematics, Modern Foreign Languages, Music, Physical Education, Physics and Religious Studies.

Primary General placements (salaried and unsalaried) are available in primary schools and special schools.
