Second in Mathematics Department 

An exciting opportunity for an ambitious and dynamic teacher to join our Mathematics leadership team.  Mathematics results at GCSE are exceptional and it is our largest subject at A Level, with 10 Mathematics groups and 4 Further Mathematics groups across the Sixth Form.  The role will support the Head of Department and KS5 co-ordinator, building on these excellent foundations and playing a key role in the continued success of the department. We are able to support the completion of an MA for candidates with the appropriate credits.  Our admissions policy prioritises children of staff.

Teacher of Mathematics

Teacher of Science

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher of Science to join our successful faculty.  The Sciences are hugely popular at A Level, with 20 A Level groups across the Sixth Form.  Having recently secured funding, the school is soon to start building a fantastic new Science block ensuring that we have outstanding facilities for staff and students. A Level teaching can be offered to suitably qualified or experienced candidates.  The successful applicant will be able to teach all of the science disciplines (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) at Key Stage 3.  Applications are equally welcome from experienced and newly qualified teachers. Physical Education and School Sport Apprentice

This is an excellent opportunity provided through the Sporting Futures programme. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support leading to a nationally recognised qualification. The work experience is particularly suited towards a career within a school or sports organisation. The facilities for PE and Sport at Parmiter’s are outstanding and the school is strongly committed to this vital part of school life. The department currently holds the Association for PE’s ‘Quality Mark with Distinction’.

School Direct (salaried & unsalaried) Teacher Training Programme

The Herts and Bucks Teaching School Alliance are inviting applications/expressions of interest  for the School Direct teacher training programme starting in September 2019. Applications open through UCAS in October, (placements are listed under Parmiter's School). 

Salaried and unsalaried placements will be available at Parmiter's School as well as other secondary and primary schools in the alliance. 

Places are offered in a range of subjects including -

Art & Design, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science, Design and Technology, Drama,English, Economics, Geography, History, Mathematics, Modern Foreign Languages, Music, Physical Education, Physics and Religious Studies.

Primary General placements (salaried and unsalaried) are available in primary schools and special schools.  

We encourage prospective trainees to submit an early application/expression of interest as national recruitment quotas apply to some subjects, and, to allow enough time to organise lesson observations prior to application. 

Applications will close in June 2019 (however recruitment for some subjects may close before then).
