Estate Manager 

The newly created role of Estate Manager is a superb opportunity for an experienced professional with overall responsibility for the school site, its buildings and infrastructure. The Estate Manager will lead and manage a team in providing a professional service and in delivering a safe, efficient and orderly environment for all stakeholders in line with legislation; ‘The Good Estate Management in Schools’ (GEMS) guidance and school policies. The Estate Manager will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.

The Estate team comprises maintenance and grounds workers, caretakers and cleaners. The team is required to work cohesively to provide the best possible service to ensure the efficient day to day operation of the school and its facilities covering 45 acres.

In order to fulfil the full requirements of the role, the Estate Manager would live ‘on-site’ in the school’s 3 bedroom bungalow.  However, for the ideal applicant, we would consider the option of the post holder living off site. The ‘off site’ option would be offered at an M1/2 grade (£37,285 - £45,438) rather than the ‘on site’ option at M2/3 (£42,505 - £48,579) which attracts additional responsibilities.  This arrangement will be discussed at interview.

Previous experience of working within a school environment would be beneficial but is not essential.

Second in Charge of Sport with specific responsibility for Girls Sport - January 2023 start date

Teacher of Music - January 2023 start date

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic specialist Music Teacher to join our busy and successful Music department. The music facilities and resources are outstanding.  A large number of students participate in extra-curricular music, including those who gain entry to the school through the Music aptitude criteria.  Strong keyboard skills and a willingness to contribute to the active musical life of the school are required.

Sports Centre Weekend Supervisor  

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to work with our Sports Centre Manager in overseeing the operation of the Thomas Parmiter Sports Centre and staff team at the weekend. 

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the enthusiasm to provide an excellent customer experience for all stakeholders. You will have good organisational skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to lead, inspire and manage a small team.  

Some physical effort will be required in terms of lifting and moving sports equipment. The role includes working outside on the sports pitches in all weather conditions. Experience of working within a sports facility and knowledge of sports would be beneficial but is not essential. The working pattern is between 08.00 - 18.30 on Saturday and Sunday, 20 hours per week.

The Sports Centre is an integral part of the school and local community life with exciting plans for future development. Our sports facilities comprise extensive grass pitches, a newly refurbished 3G football turf pitch, a large sports hall, gymnasium, fitness suite, dance studio and floodlit tennis/netball courts. Additional lettings space includes a conference centre, school hall and teaching areas.
